Mrs. Diane Tobin is a certified K-12 teacher currently teaching both Latin and Art for St. Stanislaus parochial school in Meriden. Mrs. Tobin has the unique ability to bring the history of ancient Europe alive for children, teaching them how Latin has been and still is a critical building block of Western civilization as we know it! She and the students will follow the daily life of a Roman family, incorporating the ancient architectural, technological, and human developmental achievements that the era provided us with. She will also incorporate Art projects into the lesson plan (she is degreed in Art education).

Mrs. Prerana Murthy teaches Hindi to our students. Her long list of accomplishments includes degrees in French, and English, and fluency in four Indian languages, as well as Spanish. She teaches young children English, Spanish, and French. Most recently she has been on staff with Congregation Mishkan Israel, and Yale University.

Mrs. Murthy capsulates her successful teaching method as follows: "I approach each student on an individual basis and adapt my teaching strategies to suit their specific needs and learning ability. I teach languages in a manner that makes learning an enjoyable experience. My main focus in teaching is to ensure that the students are comfortable and are able to relate the subject matter to their everyday experience. I intend the curriculum to:
  • Provide resourceful and updated teaching materials,
  • Use multi-media materials to enhance fun activities in class, and
  • help each student design short-term and long-term study plans.

We are looking forward to seeing your students of language soon at Childrens World Languages, Inc.!
